Eterna, a company specialised in the production of men’s shirts, was founded in 1863 in Vienna. It is located in Passau today.
The first women’s blouse collection was produced in 1952 and has been an integral part of our collections ever since.
In 1981, Eterna decided to search for new materials for its products. Ultimately, we settled on Swiss Cotton, a fabric made in Switzerland that requires no ironing, a material still used for all Eterna products, ensuring comfort for our customers without ironing.
Eterna was the first textile company in the world to receive the Oeko-Tex Standard 100+ certificate.
It is given to manufacturers who do not produce harmful substances in their manufacturing process and meet the highest standards for sustainable development.
The company introduced its first tie collection in 2001, which still follows closely the style of the shirt collection, thus making it a perfect complement to the business image.
After two Superbrand nominations, the German company celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2013. A year later, it introduced its biggest innovation, the first non-ironing stretch material, with record sales.
In the summer of 2015, Eterna took on its present image with the well-known logo and tailoring that embodies uniqueness and clarity in addition to high quality. The company is present in several multibrand stores and has a number of brand stores across Europe, so we are delighted to announce that an Eterna brand store is now present in the Premier Outlet in Budapest with a wide range of non-ironing men’s shirts, ties, accessories and women’s blouses.
